Hey guys, hope you had a good weekend. I'm actually a fan of Sherlock Holmes, and read everything I could find on Project Gutenberg. Man I love that site... Granted, a lot of classics are a lot less enjoyable to read than I thought they would be. One that was awesome but RIDICULOUSLY LONG was The Count of Monte Cristo... By the time he finally took revenge, it had been so long that I almost forgot what was done to him (heh, not really, but still). It's a surprisingly long book. You think that Lord of the Rings had to cut some out? I'm pretty sure CoMC had to cut 95% for their movie.

So those of you who guessed that Sylene hadn't quite put the puzzle together properly (which would probably be all of you?) were right. Well done, you get nothing. Absolutely nothing! (Sorry, UHF reference.. Next time take your fish.) If she was interested in him before when he was an eclectic fashion designer, imagine how much his Sylene-cred just went up.

New character is being semi-introduced next comic!

I don't really have a lot to talk about, or at least I'm drawing a blank and will come up with at least ten things to discuss the moment that I hit SUBMIT!

I had a lovely weekend, and the weather was awesome. Felt like I got a decent amount of sleep on Saturday (a rarity) so I was puttering around trying to pack. Three more weeks until the move date (ish)

As for the new character for next week, I'm really not looking forward to him, but I think he will add some contrast to our cast. We'll see how it goes.

Well, that's about it! (Ready the ten or so things I should have discussed in my brain in 5 .. 4 .. 3 .. 2 ...)

Beth's expression in panel four is priceless.

As is Sylene's.
In both panel 2 and 4.

But Sylene is always interesting. In the crazy/psycho sorta way. :P

Indeed! But apparently you need to be in the smartest class of zombies to see the difference between a live human and a walking corpse.

I remember reading CoMC in highschool; holy crap, it was nothing like the movie. I actually like the movie's ending better. >_>

@JimiRaffety - Sylene doesn't seem to approve ;)

@MarshmallowGherkin - I really enjoy Sylene, she's being a bit of a jerk right now though ;)

@Ferix - I know! Some people!

@Barrahir - Technically Beth didn't believe him until she saw it for herself :D Because of the focus of the comic, I think that the readers don't quite have the full sense of how futile the quest for humans are... Out of all the zombies, the only one who has shown any belief in the existence of a human is R.Z., and he believes he's a robot inside, so ...

@Linden - I enjoyed both :) They certainly took a circuitous route in the book though..

@Solem Saje - If you're going to fail, do it in a very humiliating way, right?

@Ice the frosty cat - I'll admit, it probably could have been set up better to actually convince people that she figured out the secret.. I don't know if anyone believed that she might have actually figured it out.

Ahhh well! So far only MG has figured out the Turtle-hybrid storyline, so I'm still doing okay ;)

Credit to Sylene for attempting to figure things out, even if she got it wrong. Beth is a bad friend from keeping secrets like that... even if there was no secret to start with.

Meanwhile John is, no doubt, hiding from both them, and probably for good reason.

@Magravan: I'm lookin' forward to the implementation of that storyline. ;)
It could bring this comic to levels never thought possible!

@bbedlam: I'm not entirely sure, but from what I have seen by now Beth doesn't view Sylene as *friend* too much.

@bbedlam - It's one of those situations where you can't win... If she was honest with Sylene, she would risk John's safety. She's been able to resist, but Fours are more capable of resisting the urges than Threes or Twos..

@MarshmallowGherkin - It's already begun! You just can't see the intricate, finely woven threads yet!

@Barrahir - It's an odd relationship, which is going to be made clearer fairly soon. To say she's a friend might be stretching it a little bit though.

The Emperor! He is NAKED! Hehe.
I thought she was posing a question when she said that about boners though.
As in "What do you mean'Zombies don't get boners'?" I guess I just read it wrong.
Well, 2+1 apparently equals 4. I was right. Actually I predicted this one in my head. I like it. Next page! Ummm...please sir, can I have some MOAR?

Curse you and your discovery of my phony complex storyline!

And yes, she was explicitly stating that they don't, for the sake of establishing an awkward reason for her to believe him a little further regarding his humanity.

I don't think that too many people were by the last comic.. Sylene hasn't been portrayed as an exceptionally logical person thusfar... And as always, more TOGM will be served up on Monday and Thursday ;)
