Happy Thursday!

Well, John has been talked down somewhat... His concern for Beth overrode his desire for revenge. Of course, it was misplaced, as Beth is perfectly capable of taking care of herself.

On other notes, I got things going again, albeit somewhat stunted. Still, my half of the TOGM machine is working at reasonable levels again, so *score* Just need to get the files for 66 from June and I can fix things up.

She probably wont (but might) write a note tonight because she's feeling pretty sucky.. I think that there's some bad mold down in our basement... Can't wait to get out of here :/ Which is coming soon! Moving day!!

I love John's face in the last panel. It just says so much.

Don't have to worry about that pride thing anymore. Ouch.
I hope she's making a joke though. It would be in keeping with her style of humor.
The perspective in the first two panels fixed the problem from the last page where it looked like he was gonna hit Beth. Nice Job.
On another note, if possible it would be really cool if you could imbed the forums on this site once you switch over. It would retain much of the feel of the current setup while still adding all those extra options. Should be possible if it's not too much trouble to code. Thought it was worth mentioning.
ON WITH THE TOGM!

@DreamSanguine - Yeah, can't help that ;)

@Linden - Me too... Poor guy thinks he's coming to her rescue and she's getting a zinger in on him :)

@Two&3/4 - We're actually working on a new site design, but I doubt that we'll be able to embed comments. I might leave comments enabled here, I'm not sure yet.

And yes, she's definitely joking. She is concerned about his well being, and just switching things up on him. Oh, and June totally mentioned that she was glad that the first panel fixed that while she was showing it to me ;)

Am I the only person who thought of Scar from Lion King when John said "This is a matter of pride"?

@Barrahir - It's funny, that's my least favourite, but only because I like the others more.

@Alparrott - Haha :) Nope, you guys are hopeless :P

@Jacob Gristwood - I didn't until you mentioned it, and now I can't stop... I keep picturing John's face with Scar's black mane walking through an army of Hyenas ;)

John's face in panel two is awesome. He looks so... serious! D:

@Ice the frosty cat - I know! Your website shows how hard bloodstains are to get out :)

@MarshmallowGherkin - I love both looks, the first for the ridiculousness of it, the second for the Dirty Harry-esque seriousness.

@Mezmo - Thanks for letting us know you're out there, I'm glad you're enjoying it :D

In the future, if you're going to post a link, at least put something that explains why it is relevant ;)

@MAgravan - I emailed the "Me so" fellow a couple of weeks ago, asking if I could use his "Meat" alphabet for the website. I gave him a link to the comic. I think his reply to me is showing me that he has a "Brains" alphabet too, thus the link. It's pretty neat, I will use it!

Oh, good stuff ;) Still, the advice applies in general... I don't mind people posting links, but including a bit of information helps me to realize it's not spam, which was my initial thought.

Hey you know I'm going to have to start sending my responses sooner I always seem to miss all the discussions. It's cause I can't read the comic till I get home from work. Still need money!!!
Here's a thought it might seem mad a but John could tell a PSO (not chad) that he's human. I mean they like beth will be intelligent. While there may be some hostility and danger I think it would be better. Remember John is not a criminal (I assume?) and surely Robert invented TOGM so that zombie didn't have to be brain eating monsters? So if John can find an honest responsible PSO maybe he could become a bonafied legal citizen?
Skrael (I'm the artist)
@Snoog I like that you're thinking about the comic, that's great :) a few things though. TOGM was invented because all of the humans were presumed "consumed" already. So the TOGM takes the edge off of the craving for brains, much like methodone for herion addicts. However, if faced with the concept of real brains, very few zombies would be able to control themselves from "cracking his head open on the spot. Beth seems to have an unusual gift for restraining herself .. at least when it comes to brain sucking .. the rest of her self control seems to be gone out the window, however. :)

@MarshmallowGherkin - Spammer!

@Snoog - Also, he is technically a criminal, having killed a One, which is against Robert's laws. But if he told almost anyone else that he was a human, he wouldn't make it to the trial :)

And we love people commenting, so we'll make new conversations :D

snoog (Guest) edit delete reply
Ok I see your points. Bear in mind that I did specify that he should tell people with intelligence and control but if Beth really is unique in her control your right. But I personally think if he was tried he'd have a good chance at arguing incriminating circumstances. I mean what jury will say "hmm he should have let it eat him. No he can't survive being eaten like we can but who cares?"

Of course this would only work if they knew he was human.
Also random thought the green goo maybe everyone's not dead maybe their mutants that are like zombie which would explain why there's still something there when they are cut no theories about why only John can see it yet.

@Snoog - There are quite a few reasons why him telling almost anyone else wouldn't go over well... And it's hard to have a fair trial when the judge, jury, lawyers, audience, court stenographer and so on all want to eat your brains ;D Presuming you even made it to trial...

As for your thought, I guess it depends on what your definitions of zombie / mutant are? :)

@MarshmallowGherkin - It's truuuue!
