Hey hey! Hope you're weekend was great, you had an enjoyable Mother's Day, if it applies in your country, and that you enjoyed today's TOGM.

We got to meet Jeph Jacques at TCAF, and instead of being suave and having a decent conversation, I kind of stumbled over my words and eventually choked out "Uh... we have a webcomic too.." or something equally great. Doh. Still, we bought his "Think Positive" T-shirt, and 2 sketch cards (Pintsize and Hannelore) that I will post in a section I intend to make for any Convention type stuff that we participate in.

See you guys on Thursday :D

I am not meant to meet famous people. Ever. It's too bloody scary. James can meet the famous people, I will hide behind him and not speak. Or run away. Deal? Deal.

Yep, we sort of semi met Jeph Jaques at TCAF, as we previously stated that we were going to do. I was godwawful terrified all of a sudden, and I really was nervous to have him look at the comic, cause it's really poorly draw right now! lol. I don't think James was able to spit out the URL before I panicked. I think he was mad about that.

Anyway, we got some sketches! Hannelore, and Pintsize (as samurai!) And we also got this tshirt:

Befitting, don't you think? I mean zombies and all...

Any way, about OUR comic now. Let's see. Well I almost screwed this one up by waiting until the last minute, almost quite literally. Oops! I really should do that buffer thing ...

I really didn't think James' idea for panel four's layout would work at all. I wanted to animate it. But by golly, it turned out pretty good!

I really liked how John's expression turned out in P4 too.

I think I'm getting better at drawing expressions. And drawing the characters is getting easier too. I rarely use references now ... (though maybe I should?) ... but I think I'm getting a feel for how each of 'em should look.

I hope the day changes soon (nudge nudge James) I would love to change these character's outfits :P

PS I came up with the title for this one!

Great job! Your pictures are way better than the first couple. :D

o.o

that would have been an expensive microscope.

Aww... the microscope I had as a kid was never that fancy...
However, that might have been a good thing because whenever it broke, I could usually throw together some sort of make-shift replacements (ex. when the light/mirror combo broke, I just grabbed a flashlight) together to get it working.

I doubt that will work for John. :\

@Misa - I agree, she's doing waaay better than when we first started... My promises back then are coming true!

@Linden - When I described it to her, I told her to go for a lab quality digital microscope, but I'm not sure if she went for the most expensive model or not... But yeah, in my mind it was expensive :)

@MarshmallowGherkin - Being on fire is usually a good sign that you're not going to fix it with a flashlight :D

But seriously, how do you lit a microscope on fire? @_@

I saw a show once where someone made a salad and it exploded...
This is a close second.

...Whoops :D

@Barrahir - It's got electronics in it... It might have also contained some incendiary devices... We've been watching Mythbusters again...

@Effigy - We'll best them yet! There's no salad that can match the destructive potential of a webcomic!

@Ice the frosty cat - Poor John, he gets blamed for everything...

I actually threw together a model of the laptop and microscope for size/perspective reference. That's one of my favourite parts of doing the comic :P

Skrael, I do not disagree with you about LKS. Though TOGM is a close second on the awesome scale. Really any comic whose title is so long you have to refer to it by initials is okay in my book. Also go and rate Skrael's entry if you haven't already for it is awesome.

Microscope seems so metallic and plastic-made... I really can't see how it's gonna burn Q_Q

Forgive me, I am a pedant by nature.

Circuit boards and wiring? I dunno, I'm going to say we went with comedy over reality on this one ;)

Yeah :D Sorry, should put a PEDANT warning over my name :D

Hey, I can respect that ;) I think you'll have more to call us on in the future, because I'm sure this isn't the last time it'll come up :D

Two alternate titles for this comic:
"I reject your reality and substitute my own!" (John seeing the green stuff.)

"This is why we can never have anything nice." (The microscope's fate. :P)
