Woohooo! Long comic!!

We decided to do something unusual for 50, and I think that June went above and beyond for this one! I find it kind of amusing that we included so many cameos for one of our milestones, but somehow it seems fitting. I think that if we had more time, it would have been nice to add more. We debated a number of people for the victim, including Kitty who would have fared FAR worse, but settled on Lysette because we were pretty sure Effigy would be cool with it, even though she lost... (This round, anyways! While they are being put away, I doubt this is the last time we've seen these toys.. Also, some of the other people would have been harder to draw properly ;))

Mr. Skeleton - Bonejangles
Pirate Girl - Lysette
Ninja Girl - Outburst

Seems like Foreshadowing to me... Or is that Red Herring? I can never tell, which one involves the duck?

image We made it 50 strips woohoo! I am so proud of us!

I hope everyone is happy with their cameos, and we're not stepping on any toes here. I decided to make Outburst an articulated action figure, not unlike GI Joes or the like. As for Lysette, well, I guess it's not incredibly apparent who it is, but that is she. Any way, as a complete afterthought, I should have made her a little metal figurine much like what is commonly used in D&D! Next time she appears, I will have her have a complete do-over. Any way, I decided on the Lego figure, because the RPGeneric drawing style has always sort of reminded me of Lego. I think it's the sqaure-ish bodies? :P Also, our son, whom R.Z. is modelled after LOVES Lego, in the best way!

This one was difficult to work with as I was not provided any text. That being said, I think I did relatively well here! I'm not sure how much of this I "wrote" with my drawings, but when I saw what text James provided, I was cracking right up. I think this one is pretty funny!

Any how, until next time!

That is some prime Cameoing right there. And you're absolutely right, RPGeneric always has had a sort of Lego-feel to it. ^_^
For what it's worth, I recognized her right away, hehe.

Grats on 50 pages. Any large number is a great achievement and an attest to stamina and pull-through-ery.

PS: Thanks for setting the bar so high for RPGeneric No 100 in 2, 3 weeks... ^_^
No pressure

Congrats on 50 guys! can't wait to see what you come up with for 100

@MarshmallowGherkin - It's awesome, but holy crap is it ever getting expensive... and versatile! I remember building clunky spaceships because we just had the generic pieces... Now my son gets some super Star Wars model and I'm thinking DAMN... Of course it only lasts for a few days and then it 'crashes', and given that it -barely- got put together properly in the first place, it's basically spare parts at that point...

@Linden - In a good way, I hope :) Sometimes I worry that I'm turning R.Z. into one of those despised character that the author hopes you like, but no one actually does... He's meant to provide a bit of levity no matter how dark the rest of the setting gets...

@Barrahir - Thank you, hopefully you're still around when we do!

@Alparrott - Sweet, glad we entertained! Now, if I can just get some more written.... :D

@DreamSanguine - Thank you!

@Effigy - It sort of grew out of the original Bonejangles doll gag ;) I'm just glad that no one is offended (or hasn't said so yet..) about it, because it's hard to bring things in for 1 comic without it dragging on and on (and on and on, in the case of some of the t-shirts). It seems like a bunch of us are looking forward to a big milestone in the near future... And I blame you for this escalation, though I'm not sure we outdid that animated drow fight. That was awesome! Still, more escalation for everyone!

also too lazy to log in... AngryRob told me to check this out, and it's awesome! And that Outburst figure actually exists, almost exactly like that, so good choice! Although lego people are pretty cool too... hmm...

@AngryRob - Yeah, it was a nod to the Character challenge ;) I'm hoping we have something good for 100 :)

@Spooky - I'm glad you enjoyed it! Maybe we'll see pics of your figure in Rob's contest :D

@bbedlam - Thanks, we are too! Angry Faerie is one of the figures we'd like to include at a later point, if it's cool with you ;)

@Shaman - Thank you :) As for Outburst with camel-toe action, if it isn't out yet, I'm sure Rob's made models ... lots and lots of models :D

@Fingerwitch - Yay! We're very glad :D

I'm glad you all liked it. This one was a true pleasure to draw. I came very close to not releasing it on time though! My daughter had a birthday party/sleepover thing that sort of dented my time line and ability to work on it as I would have otherwise. :)

@June - You know what would help with that?

Selling them on the black market... I bet you thought I was going to say a buffer, huh? :)

@Kayzan - Thank you! I'm glad that people are still reading! We've sort of hit a plateau, but the good part is that we are slowly growing our archive which makes the comic more appealing to people who like a story based comic...

@Night - I'm glad you like it, and thank you very much for the compliments... It helps with the ever present self-doubt ;)

nice. i love the close ups. btw how old is the kid---i thought he was five... but it seems he knows what "kissing and holding hands" is without being grossed out by it.

/has a collection of legos.
It's not a large collection, though it becomes a massive one if you include Bionicles (which are from the same company) and Mega Bloks (which aren't, yet are similar).
