I wasn't sure if I'd get to show what Alexander was doing before the end of the book... Thankfully, I was able to throw in this quick thing to give you guys an idea what he's doing... June added the tinfoil so you'd know it was Alexander... Did it work?

We're going to post the Secret Santa on Saturday... It is really good, and we were glad that it worked out this way :)

Oh, many of you probably wont know, or care, but Brandon Sanderson, the guy who was tapped to finish the Wheel of Time series, wrote the last 20 scenes in a marathon on the 21st... So now it's just editing and revision and the other publishing magic, and the final book of the Wheel of Time saga will be in my hands :D

I can't waiiiit! I am probably more excited about that than I am about Diablo 3, and I'm looking forward to Diablo 3 to play with June ;)

Have a great weekend, Happy Holidays, for whatever you believe in!

GO ALEXANDER GOOOOOOOOO

Haha love your reference to that trope. Now that I feel more lucid: man the current situation is not going well for the "good" guys. Chad has got to be the biggest jerk in a webcomic I have ever seen! You've done a good job in creating a character so hateable :)As for Alexander, I love how he's the maverick in this whole fiasco happening right now. Keep up the good work you two!

Sylene has the "bitch please" face on. Brilliant.

I think they need a stalemate associate to press the stalemate resolution button.
(Hooray for Portal references) :D

...and never the Gun!

Chekhov, you let me down!

You could have given Chad a fight.
Oh well, I'm sure the Phantom has things under control, after all he is the Phantom.

You can't have a name like that and not be awesome, it's a rule!

Hey, someone check for ammo cause chekhov's got some guns *muscular pose*

CHEKOV!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!!!

but really that pun is terrible. almost so bad it's good.

@MatthewJA - He's going, he's going! Sheesh!

@Jandalman - I'm really looking forward to Chad's explanation of his actions coming up in the next few strips :)

@Panache - I really enjoyed the art on this one... :) Sylene's face looks good, and Muchacho Guard (That's his name in the script) looks a lot less sure of himself after Phantom's comment, even though he's still got the "This guy right here" thing going on...

@Devin Roxas - Well done, that was a great time for that reference ;)

@T.Gatto - Ahhhh red herring trope subversions, how I love them :)

@sp4depir4te - Unfortunately, he failed his ammo check. (LNOE Reference)

@model S - I think it's one of those things that was initially a pun, and now it's just the standard name for his giganto arms... So it inevitably gets driven into the ground to the point where it's got the humour value of "Joggers and Kids" to someone who isn't June (Because June thinks it's hilarious! She laughs every time!)

Well, Muchacho Guard wouldn't be Muchacho Guard if he couldn't keep his game face on to bluff his ass out of that hairy situation ;)

EDIT: BTW: was there a blow up version of the ID-Tag on Muchacho Guard in #214 ?
Too curious of what it said :)

Why did Alexander kidnap Chekov? Robert-remote or his own idea?

hey james can you give me an adjusted panel of the "DEAL" with beth ((the one i turned into the welcome)) it looks warped when i adjust it myself.
Magravan edit delete reply

@Muchacho NL - I think June did make a blown up version of it, but I don't know for sure.

@aok666 - Because Chehkov was one of the few people in Phantom's crew that was recognizable by the readers :P Oh wait, you meant the in-canon reason.... Well that's a whole different question then, isn't it? :D

@model S - I don't know, to be honest. I'm not sure if I can do it any better... And this weekend, I probably definitely can't ;)

ah well damn, all i have is MS paint, so i can't keep resolution and scale down, oh and incase i don't get a chance: merry christmas.
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Ah yes, better say it on this comic (even though I'm hoping for a Christmas Special): Merry Christmas everybody! "In deference to Christmas, which a few people celebrated even in the Cow's Guts slum, Mr Thirsty had decorated his bar with a stuffed antelope on a platter garnished with holly and ivy. It had a pair of fake antlers on its head and an apple in its mouth. 'Somehow, I don't think that Mr Thirsty has really captured the spirit of Christmas...'"
Anyone recognise the quote?
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@model S - June said she might do it :) Merry Christmas!

@aok666 - Merry Christmas, and we are going to post a Secret Santa, not sure if June is drawing anything for it though... We have a lot to do to prepare to host a bunch of people coming over for dinner on the 26th :)

What time should I be over on the 26th, and are you serving cheesecake? ;)
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
And I'm still less than a third of the way through my revision... but I'm taking Christmas Day off :-)
Anyone recognise the above quote yet?
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Revision leaves no room for cheesecake :-(
T.Gatto edit delete reply
T.Gatto
@AOK666 Google tells me it's from something called "A Little Book of Christmas".
No Idea either way.
Skrael (I'm the artist)
I actually made Pumpkin bread for these festivities :D

And I'm cooking the turkey too (and a bunch of other stuff) :D

@T.Gatto - Any time after 9am is fine ;D And if you come, I'll ask her to make more cheese cake ;D

@aok666 - No clue where the quote came from, and Google seems like it is cheating. Also, if it leaves no room for Cheesecake, I am fundamentally opposed to revision.

@T.Gatto - Ahhhh, thank goodness for Google :D It makes all these obscure references easier :D

@Skrael - But we still have cheesecake, right? Riiiight?

Clearly I overestimated the size... Sorry!

That's what she said.

(I put in a joke there too, I'm not classy enough to make a classy joke :P)
model S edit delete reply

actually i set it at 520, 500 would be fine, but this is the best compromise i can do for quality over size, otherwise the lines would be warped, and it would look really bad. so this is the best it's gonna get unless june can do a smaller version of the panel directly for me.

@Muchacho NL - That's what I love about you guys! Someone always comes to my rescue ;)

@model S - I think she has plans to maybe do something sometime ;)
