Quick note for today... This is the stuff that was hinted at when the Green Stuff was all over the place in a previous scene... It was a (Very?) subtle indication that John was there, and we were seeing through his eyes :)

I got a coooold. I hate colds. The pressure in my head suuuucks. I should be glad that I don't get sick a lot, I guess, but I definitely am not a fan of this. I'd rather be regular sick, because then at least you do your business and BAM! Done. This kind of cold just makes you feel crummy for daaaays on end.

We put up our tree and we've started putting stuff under it, including "Here's a snowman" or something like that. Which was one of my son's favourite books very briefly until it was one of his least favourites when I started reading it by opening my hands and pretending to have pages when he insisted on getting a story several HOURS after his bedtime... o.O

"Here's a Snowman, Surprise, Surprise.
He has two buttons for his eyes.
He has two arms of twigs that bend.
And we have a jolly winter friend."

That was the extent of the story :D Anyway, just a moment from a loooong time ago I thought I'd share for no apparent reason. :)

And on that note, have a great week! See you on Thursday :D

Hello everyone --

Hope your weekend was nice. I had a nice weekend, albeit a little lonely with James at work all weekend. The boys and I put up the Christmas tree, and we're now enjoying that. I'm not religious at all, but I sure enjoy Christmas. So much family, and good will, and gift-giving, and food...

We may or may not have snow here in Southern Ontario. I hope so though.

Well, I'm going to wrap it up for now as it's almost midnight, and we have a very early start tomorrow. Taking the young one infor some medical testing. Nothing serious, just trying to see how come he ends up catching every stomach bug that goes around. It should go fine :D

Finally getting caught up a bit on TOGM and I'd like to say that June's artwork has been consistently improving, so kudos to her. It was good to start with, but she's really been developing over the past few months.

Also, Chad is a dick and I'll be very satisfied when he's dead(er?). At least I hope he's going to die at some point. Or be horribly tortured. I'd be ok with that too.

HAHA! CALLED IT! sorta... silently... but my brother and linda will back me up, i mentioned that i thought the green was cause of john and they were both like "wha" and i'm all like "togm" and they're like "wha" and i'm like "the comic james does -_-" and my brother was like "OH! the grey meat one" and linda was like "i don't get it" it was a funny day.

CO2 fire extinguisher, John. The gas is cold enough to freeze living flesh, it should freeze an XL15 too.
Isn't Chad surprised to see John? Last thing he heard, John "had been killed"...
Also, isn't Beth literally next door? Can she hear John's voice?
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
And even more importantly, can Robert see and hear John via cameras?
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Aliis Cani Cibum: cogitant extra cerebrum.

Looked that up in case Robert wants to make his signs more awe-inspiring. I needed an excuse not to do more notes than necessary.

A tired John vs. a lean mean killing machine... this does not bode well for John... unless James and June decide to throw in a Deus Ex Machina.
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Or a Five ex speaker system/remote control (Robert freezes Chad's XL15 and tells "Thomas" firmly to get to the office now for a... discussion about Why We Don't Run Off Into Zombie-filled Cities)

How come Robert hasn't fixed the hole Katee made in the wall?
His empire will just crumble away if he does not take care of the little things.

I'm now hoping it's a Mac10 in the box so Beth can promptly mow Chad down.
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
It's only been there for a few hours. And Robert's had more important things to do than notice a hole in the wall.

hey aint that the TV she stole awhile back?
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Hey YEAH it could be a replacement (hypnotic?) TV screen for the hole in the wall!

@banelilith - Not to mention unbelievably gorey...

@bbedlam - I honestly don't know where Chad's going to end up at this point. Depending on how I write him in the strips from now to 225 and perhaps somewhat beyond will really dictate exactly what happens to Chad...

I don't think I'm ready to get rid of him as a character entirely though.

@model S - That's a funny story, I can just imagine it in an almost Sitcom-like way... Except that they are both stick figures, because I have no idea what they look like, and it just seems funnier that way.

@aok666 - Chad's got a one track mind right now. I'm guessing that she can hear them to some degree, but probably not clearly.

As for Robert, I guess that depends on what he's doing right now ;)

Annnnd you should probably do your school work :P

@Muchacho NL - I hear that John has been working on his Kung Fu :P

@aok666 - That's a chat that they certainly should have had before it was too late. Kind of like the parents of a pregnant teen deciding that now might be a good time to discuss birth control... ;)

@T.Gatto - Robert probably doesn't even know that there's a big hole in his wall.

@aok666 - Not even that he's got more important things to do, as opposed to he's just not doing anything that's going to result in him knowing about that now.

@Michael Alexander - It's the hole where Katie ripped off the monitor, yes :)

@aok666 - :O Except that it said "Do not leave with the green haired security guard", so it was clearly sent before she left :)

@Ghost286 - That would solve a lot of problems, I think.

that would be funny. i wish i had an animator program now. because i would totally make that into an animation. i can alter more of hazama's sprites for me, and make stickfigures for my brother and linda. and i'll use ... hmh... i'm not sure how to make makoto (my computer)...

@AOK666 & MAGRAVEN

It must be the replacement monitor in the box; Robert knew Katie would steel it, before she even knew it, what genius!
I underestimated the power of the 5.

This way he IS paying attention to the small details of his empire, after all just ask Hitler about the small detail, of Stalingrad, or Napoleon about the minor issue of Waterloo, and you will see that even little things like monitors, or land wars in Eurasia can bring down a powerbase before you would know it.

I know I'm right on this one, the voices in my head are in full agreement.;)
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
@Magravan: so this IS Chad's Deciding Moment Of Crowning Nasty where he does The Unforgivable (probably involving John and/or R.Z. and/or Beth - don't even think of fake-killing John again, you've used that technique once and it won't work again).
SCHOOL work? I'm at university, why else would I mention LECTURE notes? I finished the notes anyway (Hazards of Blood Transfusion, perfect for late-night work...) and was the only student in Genetics to know the meaning of the word "caveats".
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@model S - I never really got into the animation things... But I guess that's because I can't make things look good while I'm statically drawing them ;)

@T.Gatto - That is beyond the power of a 5, but certainly within the power of a 6... :)

Also, I'm pretty sure that if you asked Napolean (of popular culture anyway) about anything "Small" you might have issues ;)

@aok666 - The latter portion of this book has definitely been pushing towards Chad's big moment...

I can promise that I wont fake kill John again any time soon ;)

Also, when I was at University, I called it school work then too :P Also, why is the word caveats on your curriculum? I'm definitely curious about it because of the implications of the different options... :)
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
@T Gatto: what was apparently Napoleon's tonker, stolen by his confessor priest and pickled, was put up for auction once - it was described as an inch long and shaped like a seahorse. That's little (and syphilitic).
@Magravan: one of the Genetics lecturers referred to caveats of transgenic animal experiments - i.e. the limitations and other things to bear in mind when planning and interpreting experiments. When the lecturer checked after someone asked, it turned out that I was the only student present who knew what the word meant... worrying.
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
Is the caveat not to create anything that will subsequently murder you? :)
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
Like zombies? Most transgenic animals are flies, mice or zebrafish (you can buy GM glowing zebrafish as pets in the USA), usually gene knockouts/knockins. Caveats are stuff like "a fly/mouse/zebrafish does some things differently from humans so you can't be sure that a certain molecular pathway is the same in all species", or "Make sure you vaccinate the animals or microbes could mess up your results".
Even the Immortomouse strain isn't actually immortal (it's extra-susceptible to cancer, to speed up safety tests on new medicines/chemicals).
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
That actually sounds pretty cool :) (And yes, I was implying Zombies) :0
