This is what happens when I write a story and then pass out before June and I have a chance to discuss it... I was thinking that he was just ducking behind the wheel while still following them, she obviously drew John careening off the road...

Which really, underscores the whole fatigue thing that June has been pushing with her drawings of John lately... However, now I have to look at my storylines between here and #225 to see how I'm going to resolve this concern... Some of the best storyline in this comic has come from these unexpected things though...

Last chance to do the T-shirt contest, winner will be announced on Monday :) Send an email to togmshirt (at) gmail (dot) com to enter!

Is the "I love the traction on THE THIS car" a typo, or is John just really tired and not speaking properly :p

That poor car. Ugh. The detail work. The money. The insurance. >___<

From my own experience, I'm so sick of playing expensive bumper cars.

@MatthewJA - I KNOOOOW! You can't take them anywhere... Especially if they are driving.

@Blint - Let's just say John's not the only one who is exhausted :D Thanks for pointing it out, hopefully I'll get to fix it tomorrow :)

@Linden - It's a good thing that he saved R.Z., or Beth would be pretty ticked with him, I think..

@model S - You did this? You crashed a luxury car into a fence / trash can and everything? ...

well i don't know if a mitsubishi lancer counts as a luxury car, but there was no damage to my car so i drove away.no one noticed. >.>

my god! he's like a ninja

@model S - I don't know if it would be luxury either :D I hope that if you did damage to someone else's property that you made amends though :)

@DrJustFrigginKillthatDude - I know! Sometimes I can't even find him in the script!

I'm thinking that it's a good thing for him that Beth has bigger worries than the damage to her car.

Saving R.Z. is good for some brownie points but ... I mean... dude...
model S edit delete reply
model S
it was city property, and the city has screwed me enough they can shell out $30 for a few 2x4s and $20 for a new trashcan.

Oh come on Magravan, he was never going to be able to avoid crashing if he ducked behind the wheel. Not even if he got RZ to tell him which way to turn.
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@model S - I doubt they'd see it that way :D

@aok666 - I was thinking like ... slunk down behind the wheel, looking out through the middle :)
DrJustFriggingKillThatGuy (Guest) edit delete reply
so... how is he gonna explain to beth what happend to the car?
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
@DrJustFriggingKillThatGuy: he can say it happened while he was rescuing her.

@Magravan: easy to get out of this one. Add one extra panel to the script, showing him easing the car backward and round onto the road.
Sleel (Guest) edit delete reply
@model S : You and how many ppl doing stuff like that = how many million? Wood aint cheap. Sure as hell aint 30 bux to fix a fence in material,never mind labour. Think 1000s. Seeing as fence posts don't dig themselves up, no replace themselves you also have labour. But hey, you getting your taxes back, just like the rioters in London. Nope, none of this adds up.

re the car: the headlights. are they pop-ups, like the outlines on the hood suggest, or front lights that don't retract? Never seen a car with both.

@DrJustFriggingKillThatGuy - By providing as much perspective as possible, I assume :D

@aok666 - Or rescuing R.Z. :D And yeah, that's pretty much what I'm going to end up doing, I think...

@Sleel - Not to mention the fact that while it is the government that might screw people over, it's the People's tax dollars that would be used to fix it...
aok666 (Guest) edit delete reply
@Sleel: Beth can afford a customised car with both :-)
Skrael (I'm the artist)
AK! Clearly I've been drawing Beth's BMW wrong all along ... :( I forgot all about the pop up lights

@aok666 - She certainly could... :)

@Skrael - John just neglected to put them up? Sounds like something he'd do... You've been drawing the running lights as super powerful? :D

@ Skrael, don't worry we forgive you. Besides it's a pretty good bet that Magraven will not be firing you and looking for a new artist. If he does just put some Nair in his shampoo. ;)
Skrael (I'm the artist)
He won't care, he buzzes it all off any way! And I'll hate the bald look more than he will :D
idd (Guest) edit delete reply
sheesh, driving around with only running lights is dangerous. You could even run off the road.
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@T.Gatto - Nah, not looking to fire her ;) If anything, she's holding this thing up right now :)

@Skrael - That's true... :) I could do without hair for a while.. :)

@idd - That's crazy talk... It'd never happ... oh wait.
