Thomas is helping to take a bite out of crime!

Phantom doesn't see him as much of a problem... At least not one that can't be easily sorted out... Without the chip, no one can hear you die... again.

I think that his character has shown that he's not above getting his hands dirty in order to solve a problem... Sylene, on the other hand, doesn't seem as eager to do away with him..

Have a great weekend!

Hands are hard! >:(

OK you might notice NuTwo has blood on his mouth where he didn't last comic. I am going to have to ret-con that because... I plain old forgot to bloody up his mouth! *gasp* That's a pretty big thing to forget :/

I hate drawing hands too. You did them nicely though. Ok I am getting it. I re-read the archive. I think I am following this more closely now. Still sad about J/T-one though :( All right, I am ready for the down and dirty!

Maybe he belched? A whole brain would have left him with a very full stomach.

Good strip today don't normally have time to read it before work woke up early.
I think phantom's being a bit hard on the two it's not like he knew what he was doing
TanSpectra (Guest) edit delete reply
Has anyone noticed that John eats stuff, the tears his blood and the Phantom.
I dont think thats a normal zombie

Phantom's a bit dry, methinks.
Gaijin (Guest) edit delete reply
Hm, the bloody mouth definitely makes him look less intelligent now.

OK, so hypothetical question. If enlightening a person into a 1 causes that person's native intelligence to pass up and along the chain of zombihood, all the way up to the original creator, what happens when the chain is broken? In other words, what if this 2 is killed? Does that have any repercussions for John 1?

maybe also the fact that he's buzzeyed

I'm starting to think the smile the Phantom had in the last strip was fake!

At least Syrene is showing she's got more to her than meets the eye.

Math?! Try interrogations!

did eating thomas' brian make that new guy go up a rank? cause he talks like a three but looked like a 1 before.

@greengirl77 - I think it's sad for Thomas too...

@Sir Wishbone - A messy belcher :)

@snoog - I think that the Phantom doesn't really care what he did or didn't do.. He's an obstacle, and until Sylene and Thomas spoke up (or chewed up, as the case may be), he didn't really have a whole lot that'd convince the Phantom to not exact UNHOLY JUSTICE! on him... ;)

@TanSpectra - Not sure what you mean, so no :)

@MatthewJA - He doesn't appreciate your appraisal.

@Gaijin - Because it's the same look that a 2 year old has after eating breakfast? :)

As for the broken chain, RAFO :)

@Kyo - That probably helps too :)

@T. Gatto - Well, he was happier when he had a solid plan with no real opposition... :D

@3.4 - I would, but they keep telling me I can't interrogate people like Renegade Shepard in Mass Effect 2 :)

And... at that point, why bother? If you can't randomly punch people in the face, what's the point in interrogating them? :)

@MrTT - He's a Two... :)

@jordanch68 - A point was definitely made... It might just be that Thomas is hungry though ;)

@model S - I thought that we already used that... Oops..
model S (Guest) edit delete reply
you used it in the art, but not in the comic yet. it needs to be in the comic as a canon sound effect, and right next to the sound effect of "DROPPED!" would be perfect.

but seriously, great work on the comic. you just keep finding ways to make me want more. more updates are needed. srsly.

what happened to the Phantom's eye-patch band in panel 5? I noticed it before with one of the agent's glasses too.

June, I enjoy watching your style and skill progress as this series rolls on. Even if you can't keep doing this full time and have to focus on other things, this can always be your little bombing range. :)

@Magravan - Hungry for Achilles tendons? :) Well he hasn't been asking for brains recently. LoL

What about Beth and R.Z. ? Go Beth! :)

@model S - Ahhhh :) I thought I had used it before, but it's sometimes hard to remember what I've used, what I intend to use and so on. A lot of times I have to check the archive to see if I've already used a title name :)

I'm glad you're still enjoying the story :)

@the_brigand - It camoflauged in with his head. It's Maaaagic! :)

@jordanch68 - Gotta go for what you can, I guess :)

Beth is going to be in the next strip... R.Z. will be ... 3 from now, I believe.
model S (Guest) edit delete reply
it's all good. you can always retcon it in later. <.< i mean it can't be that hard to draw a little "ZOM NOM NOM" over tom's head.

but yea the story is really leaving me wanting more. it's like when L died in deathnote it just became stupid. when tom undied here it got better somehow (even though i didn't think it was possible.)

I think everyone has forgotten where we came in. We now know that neither Robert, the chief zombie in charge (let's face it, undead that powerful are not called zombies, they are liches), and the Phantom, head of the underground resistance, nor the peacekeeper lackeys of uncertain loyalty, knew anything about John's whereabouts. In fact Robert is the only one who even knew of his existance.

So-- we still don't know who it was that threw John out of a car at the zombie clinic! Or how he got amnesia, either.

@ dr pepper;

All true points, but now you made me thirsty for a Dr. Pepper.
model S (Guest) edit delete reply
dr pepper: it was the phantom's guys that threw him out of the truck. that was obvious

it was twos that threw him out (denoted by the fonttype) and the phantom mentioned twos
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@model S - Well, we'll see what people think about it as they figure out the trick.. ;)

@dr pepper - Zombie is something of a misnomer here, I think... It's just the word that they've taken for themselves considering the whole brain thing...

@T. Gatto - Can't blame you there.. I was never a big Coke or Pepsi fan, but when I go for something dark, I really enjoy Dr. Pepper :)

@model S - Sometimes I forget if it is something I've made obvious, or something that is still in question... I don't recall if the Phantom has specifically mentioned that they were his people.. ;)
Ghost (Guest) edit delete reply
I'm getting this big "lets have John pretend to be Thomas" feel when/if phantom meets him, that and a whole we need to save Beth from Robert rescue mission arc...

That or I forgot to take my meds again and the voices in my head are having an arguement.... mehh
Kyo edit delete reply
Kyo
what, so thomas and john aren't the same person but rather john is a clone of thomas?
Ghost (Guest) edit delete reply
Well remember one this is just my crazy brains theories, assuming J and T are different people (and yes I really do believe that they are) the clone/twin idea or at least current ideas of it feel off to me. The only real concept I can come to is that John is a product of whatever Thomas's Plan was Robert had the Zombies idea, Brain-shirt had the Bunker and Thomas had something else but odds are I'm millllllles off whatever the hell is really going to happen but it keeps me amused coming up with crazy ideas.
Kyo edit delete reply
Kyo
maybe john was created so thomas could fake his own death?
Ghost (Guest) edit delete reply
Oh no Thomas is worm food (Well zombie food) at this point, he might have possibly created John for Robert to catch as a decoy. But to me it still doesn't feel right, especially since its hard to fake your own death in a environment filled with lots and lots of things that want to eat you, without it having a huge chance to backfire (then again that could be just whats happened here...)
Kyo edit delete reply
Kyo
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. He created John and just had him sent out there to be eaten, but then John ended up being the one (or rather the person that isn't a one) that survived
Ghost286 edit delete reply
Ghost286
Still feels off to me, Robert would have surely noticed in his labs John wasn't Robert.
Kyo edit delete reply
Kyo
When inspecting the corpse, you mean? I kinda doubt robert would have gone through that trouble in the first place, when his version of the story would have made perfect sense. Thomas disappeared, thomas got zombified somewhere, the end. Although I guess the fact that he got dumped out near a hospital doesn't really play into that, seeing as how a high-one/two-density-area would have been better.

Although that wouldn't have helped much with explaining the premise
