Hey-ho .. not sure what happened, but it looks like I am emergency uploading the comic tonight. Sorry for being a few minutes late, but I had to discover the problem first.

Any way, we're exploring more of O.C.'s journal. Seems he has a soft spot for blondes? (Is she blonde? Perhaps we will find out)

So far as the art on this one, I think that there is something to be desired, especially the first couple of panels. But hey, you have colour this week! woohoo!

Thank you for all of your well-wishes. I had an emergency (small) surgical procedure last week and I'm on pills not so I'm finally able to eat. Gaining strength day by day. I have my next surgery on Friday. I'm a little nervous because I have to go right under for this one, but I am sure that I will be fine. My pre-op appointment is tomorrow!

On the lighter side, we got a bunch of snow today and it is super pretty!

Well, I forgot about DST again... I didn't upload it because I was planning on getting it in before midnight. Oops ;)

So we're exploring Ol Corpsey's journal a little more, as an explanation as to why he shot himself.

There's not really much to say except that we may have a comic for Thursday, and we're definitely planning for at least 1 guest week entry next week for Monday. Additional guest week stuff might come about if necessary, and more importantly, if we actually get something else! :) We do have something from MatthewJA which both June and I laughed at, so hopefully you guys will enjoy it too :)

Not much going on at our house right now.. Just preparing for June's surgery and things of that nature. Christmas shopping to be done soon, I suppose ;)

I've been listening to www.youtube.com/user/xticklesmilex#p/c/A69793E1C902C83A/7/WgATF4BuuKc this evening ;)

Magravan
Your character is pretty mangled looking, so I'm guessing that any One we do with facial disfigurement will probably look a bit like it :)
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
. . . a comic?
June . . . why aren't you resting?

O.C. saw his love being killed live? that's painfull enough to drive someone into suicide . . . oh wait, it did
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
Because she wants the readers to have something to enjoy, and we're saving the guest comic for when she's not up to doing it ;) Namely next week :)

And to be fair, it was kind of a creepy, stalker-y love... :) Or a "She's the last human I've seen" love :)

Ol' Corpsey! :P

Magravan
Indeed!

What's wrong with creep, stalker-y love?

Nothing! For a completely unrelated reason, can you open your blinds again?

It sounds to me like you're closing yourself off from an opportunity, Ranger. An opportunity for Stalker Love!

Magravan
She eats the soylent green or she gets the hose!
Skrael (I'm the artist)
She also draws the comic, or she gets the hose! :(
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
WHAT!!!
pushing you of the stairs I could live with, but giving you the hose!!!

(english is not my native language, could someone translate "getting the hose" into simple english plz)
Curator edit delete reply
Hagelander, I believe its a joke related to an old horror movie in which the main antagonist says to the person he has captive in a dry well "It puts the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again." as he would spray the victim with cold water from a hose whenever she wouldn't do as he told her.
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
It's Silence of the Lambs :) And yeah, pretty much what Curator says... :) To be fair, at least I said "She" and not "It" ... That counts for something, right?
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
and why is being tortered with cold water worse than being forced to eat stuff and drawing comics?
I thought that being hosed ment being screwed (and not in the good way)
model S (Guest) edit delete reply
i guess that's true, and it's on the other side.

i'll toss my hat into guest comic week. it won't be my best work but it'll be funny. ... i hope...
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@Hagelander - Being forced to eat stuff and draw comics? The horror! :P You'd think I was forcing her to eat like ... moldy bread and rancid meat or something :P Being hosed does mean getting screwed over, but not in the way that I used it, which is close enough to a quote for people who have seen the movie to know what I meant :)

@model S - Looking forward to it :)

Great comics. But Don't try to push yourself too hard June.We love yall too much. And While I love all the Hanibal movies (You gotta love a sophisticated Psychopath)Was that line from SILENCE? I don't remember it.....

Buffalo Bill to the Senator's daughter. 'It puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again!"
Remus (Guest) edit delete reply
Oh, thank you! I remember it now! He was creepy. But arn't them all?
Jrade edit delete reply
Jrade
Apparently Anthony Hopkins once went to see SOTL in a movie theatre, just your everyday cinema, right? Anyway, he sat there silently through the whole movie and then, after it was over, leaned forward to the person sitting in front of him and said, in his Hannibal Lector voice, "Did you enjoy that?"
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@Remus - I always liked Silence best though... It has that very delicate balance between a quiet, reserved thriller scenes and the "OH MY GOD! HE'S WEARING HIS FACE!!!" moments... I don't think that any of the other ones in the series (I'm not sure if I saw all of them?) managed to pull it off quite so well...

@Jrade - That would be quite possibly the most awesome moment in theatre going history. Poor guy though, I wouldn't fault him if he wet himself....
model S (Guest) edit delete reply
jrade/mag hehe that made me lol. and i needed it relizing i forgot to finish a test due today.... crap.
Jrade edit delete reply
Jrade
On a completely related note: why would anybody not want a relationship with a zombie? I mean, come on!
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@model S - Errr yeah... You should probably focus more on school if you're forgetting to finish tests that are due....

@Jrade - I don't know! John's kinda wishy-washy about it too... I think he's commitment-phobic.

After all, they wouldn't have "Until death do you part" to fall back on ;)
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
John dieing is a good reason to stop a relationship, who would want to date a one? (exept for the rapists or S&M freaks)
so "'till death do you part" is still valid :p
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
Till death do us part is marriage.. :P

And if people ditched their spouse when they got stupid and ugly... Well... We wont finish that thought ;)

(Skrael is still pretty and intelligent! She might get offended if I don't put this disclaimer :P)
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
oh yhea, I'm not the brightests one around here am I?

If I were Skrael I'd hit you for that "STILL pretty and intelligent"
it's like saying, yhea she's pretty and intelligent, but that won't last

I MADE A FUNNY
Also I like this comic. But is there a bit missing between this and the last comic?
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
@Hagelander - Trying to get me in trouble :P I was just making it clear that I wasn't implying that I was talking about June with that comment :)

@Skrael - Thankfully :)

@MatthewJA - No, I might not have shown it well enough, but he got bored and flipped to the end of the book at the end of the last strip :)
MatthewJA edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Oh I just thought he was like "This is boring" and was looking for pictures.
I also find these comments pretty hilarious some times. I also find it funny when you reply to Skrael's comments online, it's pretty funny.
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
Yeah, sometimes I answer in real life :) And yeah, he was like "This is boring" ;) The ending was somewhat more interesting ;)
Hagelander (Guest) edit delete reply
trying to get other people into trouble? me?
How dare you acuse me of something that horrible ;)
can't wait 'till tomorrow morning for the next comic!

@Hagelander - I'm just that inconsiderate :)

@MatthewJA - What do you have a camera in here? First your guest strip, now this?
MatthewJA edit delete reply
MatthewJA
YES.
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
In that case, can you diagnose these spots on my legs? :P
MatthewJA edit delete reply
MatthewJA
I thought I already did that, like, three days ago now.
Remus (Guest) edit delete reply
Wait....... there was a three days ago... awww man I forgot when I am again. And Magravan, do you think it could be the infamous SpotsontheLegsitis?
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
Probably. It certainly looks fatal?
MatthewJA edit delete reply
MatthewJA
Spotsonthelegsitis? I highly doubt that. Looks more like Legspotti Disease to me.
Magravan edit delete reply
Magravan
Oh thank goodness! Isn't it funny that the longer the name, the more unpleasant it sounds?
